The flexible, cost-effective Mx Series platform is offered in three configurations:

  • Mx100 Series: Lower-volume, single gantry machines with 2-4 heads
  • Mx200 Series: Medium-volume, single gantry machine with 4 multifunctional heads
  • Mx400 Series: High-volume, dual gantry, dual lane machine with 12 heads

Mx 100 Series – General Purpose Placers for parts from 0201 up to large BGAs, QFPs and Connectors up to 10.5mm tall on the Module head units, and 20mm tall on the Precision head units.

These machines are designed for the small- to mid-sized CM or OEM providing affordable, fully inline production capability at an economical price.

There are three machines in the Mx100 family:

  • Mx100: 15K CPH (IPC 9850), parts – 0201 up to 18 x 24mm, 10.5mm tall, 80 feeders, PCB max = 16.1” x 18.1”
  • Mx100P: 8K CPH (IPC 9850), parts – 0201 up to 50mm sq, 20mm tall, 80 feeders, PCB max = 16.1” x 18.1”
  • Mx100LP: 8K CPH (IPC 9850), parts – 0201 up to 50mm sq, 20mm tall, 100 feeders, PCB max = 26.8” x 18.1”

State-of-the-Art Linear Motors

The Mx series uses linear motors that are considered the premium motion control system on SMT equipment today:

  • Increased speed and accuracy vs. rotary encoders on competitor’s ball screw systems
  • Low maintenance – no lead screws that sling grease, or need to be cleaned and regreased; there are no moving parts at all in the motor
  • Mirae manufactures their own motors, enabling the high quality motion technology to be used on our less expensive machines

Smart Feeders and Smart Machine functionality are standard

  • All machines come with Intelligent Feeders and Intelligent Machine functionality standard (not as extra-cost options.)
  • Intelligent electronic C feeder stores part number, quantity remaining, index pitch, index speed, feeder width, and error codes in addition to other performance data

Feeders and Parts Supply

Fully Electrical and Intelligent C Feeder

  • 6x faster indexing speed than previous feeder design

  • Self-diagnosis upon insertion into the feederbase:
    • Automatic feeder recognition upon insertion
    • Interface displays feeder location & index pitch
    • Empty feeder slides out, not up, so can be removed safely while machine is running, providing uninterrupted production

Intelligent Feeder – Parts Management

  • Pre-Empty Warning feature: Allows setting of a minimum part-quantity alarm, allowing time to prepare a replacement reel of parts, to minimize machine down time
  • Alternate Pick feature: If feeder runs out of parts, machine will pick the same part if it is duplicated elsewhere in the machine
  • Parts Empty Skip feature: If the feeder runs out of parts and no duplicated parts are available, it will skip the empty parts and continue running until the rest of the board is finished and wait until the feeder is replenished, thereby minimizing down time

Vibratory Stick Feeder

  • Plug and Play installation, powered from Feederbase
  • Amplitude, frequency and fine frequency enable fine-tuning for feeder performance
  • Adjustable feeds for up to 5 different components

Tray Feeding Units

  • Multiple tray feeding unit for up to 20 unique trays; sits on the back of the machine
  • Other Tray Feeders are available:
    • Feeder base mounted – easy to access, no PCB width loss, consumes 23 feeder slots

Internal “2.5” Tray Feeder:

  • Feeds 2 Jedec Trays (3, if tray is rotated)
  • No loss of feeder space
  • Still 400mm (15.7”) PCB width possible

  • Fixed-width strip component feeder holds 6 lanes of 8mm tape and 2 lanes of 12mm tape
  • Capable of holding multiple parts per lane

Mx 200 Series: Medium-volume flexible placers for parts from 0201 up to large BGAs, QFPs and Connectors up to 10.5mm tall on the Mx 200L and 18mm tall on the Mx200LP.

These machines are designed as modular, inline solutions for a medium- or high- volume environment, or as a single machine solution providing affordable, fully inline production capability for the small- to mid-sized manufacturer

Mx 400 Series – High-volume, dual gantry, yet flexible placement machines for parts from 0201 up to large BGAs, QFPs and Connectors up to 10.5mm tall on the Mx 400L, and 20mm tall on the Mx400LP and Mx400LPP.
